Apr 20, 2012 · So when I turn passive mode off, I still get a time out with the ls command. That is why I am thinking the "Passive mode refused" is not relavant. It's the timeout that is the root issue. As far as the user, it's a real user. I created the user, and gave it a password. I can logon with that user.
